We stand as a community of faith that confesses the Lord Jesus Christ as God and Savior, adhering to biblical principles as our foundation. Our Council serves as a platform for independent churches across South Africa to collaborate, learn, and grow together in their shared mission.

Our Theological Foundation
CAIC’s foundation rests on the belief that the Church is the Body of Christ, unified by the Spirit. Though divisions may exist, we affirm that the unity of all Christians is a gift from God. We do not impose any specific doctrinal tests on our members but stand firm on the shared confession of faith that Jesus Christ is Lord. Our work is motivated by this shared understanding, allowing each church to maintain its unique identity while participating in our collective mission.
What We Believe
  • The Bible: We believe that the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are the inspired and authoritative Word of God, the ultimate guide for Christian faith and life.
  • God: We believe in one God, eternally existing in three manifestations—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—perfect in every way and the Creator of all things.
  • Jesus Christ: We affirm that Jesus Christ is true God and true man, who lived, died, and rose again for the salvation of humankind. He is now seated at the right hand of God, our High Priest and Advocate.
  • The Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit glorifies Jesus Christ, convicts humanity of sin, regenerates believers, and empowers us to live godly lives.
  • Salvation: Salvation is available through faith in Jesus Christ, whose sacrifice and resurrection offer eternal life to those who believe.
  • The Church: We are united as the Body of Christ, made up of believers who are regenerated by the Holy Spirit and committed to fulfilling Christ’s Great Commission.
